Hop Tree
Rutaceae Ptelea trifoliata

The hop tree grows up to 25 feet tall.   Its seed is surrounded by a saucer shaped wing that persists on the tree after the leaves have fallen.  It can be grown in full sun or as an understory tree.  It is at home with some moisture or on dry rocky situations.  Another common name for this tree is wafer-ash.

Upon request we can ship plants for those who cannot come to the nursery. For this service we charge a $25 handling fee to take the plants to UPS for boxing and shipping. The cost of shipping is only known after UPS boxes and weighs/measures the box(s). A credit card number is required to chargethe costs to post UPS shipping is known.
