FLOWERS & GROUND COVER

Mexican Red Sage

Labiatae Salvia darcyi

This salvia grows from 2 - 5 feet tall and about 2 - 3 feet wide.  It has long tubular deep red flowers that start blooming in the summer and continue through fall.  The hummingbirds love the flowers.  The heart shaped leaves give some different texture to your landscape.  Plant red sage in full sun.   As with all sun loving salvias this one is deer resistant.
