Yellow Columbine
Ranunculaceae Aquilegia hinckleyana

This large flowered yellow columbine is native to the Big Bend area of Texas. It grows well over most of the state. The green leaves give you color all year, even in the winter. The bloom period is early spring (March and April). Plant in shade and enjoy the beautiful display. Unfortunately the deer like them, too.
