SHRUBS

Yellow Buckeye
Hippocastanaceae Aesculus pavia var. flavescens

A shrub up to six feet tall. It grows under the tree canopy. It usually is one of the first things to leaf out in the early spring. The has yellow flowers and large seeds which ripens in August. If the summer is hot and dry it will loose its leaves in late summer. Children should not play with the plant, flowers, or fruit. It does best it grown in an area protected from the west sun. It grows slowly.
