FLOWERS & GROUND COVERS

Snake Herb
Acanthaceae Dyschoriste linearis

Snake herb is a low growing perennial that makes a good groundcover in partly sunny places.  It can grow from 4 inches to l ½ feet tall.  If not over watered and over fed, it will be shorter.  It has lavender, bell-shaped flowers in late spring and early summer. The foliage is long and narrow and does not mind dry caliche soils.
