SHRUBS

EVERGREEN SUMAC
Anacardiaceae Rhus virens

Evergreen sumac is an evergreen shrub with white flowers and reddish seed in late fall. The blooms occur off and on from spring to fall. In nature it appears in the Texas Hill Country on fence rows and hillsides. Plant in full sun where it can have plenty of room to spread. It would make a good screening shrub. It is drought tolerant when established. Protect young plantings from browsing deer.
