TREES

Carolina Buckthorn

Rhamnaceae Rhamnus caroliniana

A medium sized tree of about 20 feet. It has shiny leaves that look good all during the growing season. The flowers are small and rarely noticed, but the black fruit is highly visible. This tree is often overlooked but makes a great tree for a small area. Protect young trees from the deer. Buckthorn is one of my favorite trees. Try it!
