FLOWERS & GROUND COVER

Bat Face Cuphea
Cuphea Llavea

This unusual Mexican perennial has red tubular flowers that have a purple bat face at the base.  Grown in full or part sun it can reach 2 to 3 feet in diameter.  It attracts hummingbirds to your garden.  It must have winter protection in the Kerrville area but certainly adds charm to the landscape.
